The other week I had the pleasure of trying Boston’s best burger with Roz and Erica. RF O’Sullivan’s in Somerville has been consistently voted Boston’s best, and its’ easy to see why! The restaurant on Beacon Street has been serving up burgers for years, there are a few other things on the menu, but a burger is the way to go.

The place is small, but we got a seat right away. There is a large bar in the middle serving up all my favorite local microbrews such as Harpoon, along with Blue Moons and Bud Lights. The grill is also in the same room, so you can watch ’em fry your meat. There were about 25 different burger combos on the menu, but if you don’t see what you like they’ll make it for you. Each one comes with huge potatoes wedges (hand cut and made on the spot) or onion rings (or both if you are Roz and Lottie).

I ordered the J.D. Burger, basted with homemade BBQ sauce and melted cheddar, while Erica went for a classic cheeseburger. Mine was thick juicy and divine, it was also cooked perfectly, which can be hard when you have such a large slab of meat. As I mentioned above, it went perfectly with the potato wedges, and onion rings. The wedges were super fresh and the onion rings were nice and crispy!

Roz went for a blue cheese stuffed burger which looked amazing and tasted amazing, according to her.

I will definitely be going back!
